Automatic Door Anti-Pinch Sensor Passes ISO 13849 Functional Safety Certification – Your Choice For Safety And Compliance

Jul 13, 2026

The automatic door industry involves significant technical complexity; as these systems operate in everyday environments, their smooth performance-or safety failures-directly impacts pedestrian safety. Consequently, product certification is crucial; specifically, certificates issued by authoritative bodies confirming compliance with national market access standards serve as a key basis for product selection.

Our integrated activation and anti-pinch sensors have obtained ISO 13849 certification from SGS, covering the following standards:

ISO 13849-1:2023: The product's safety control system design complies with functional safety requirements for machinery, achieving the appropriate Performance Level (PL). For automatic doors, this means the sensor must accurately detect obstacles and reliably trigger a reversal or stop within a specified timeframe, ensuring functionality is maintained even in the event of a single fault.

ISO 13849-2:2012: The aforementioned safety design has undergone verification testing in accordance with the procedures stipulated by the standard.

EN IEC 61000-6-1:2019: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) – Immunity standard for residential, commercial, and light-industrial environments. This ensures the sensor operates stably and reliably even in environments with electromagnetic interference (such as the startup of nearby high-power motors), preventing malfunctions or failures caused by external interference-a critical factor for safety.

EN IEC 61000-6-3:2021: Emission standard for residential, commercial, and light-industrial environments. This ensures the product does not emit excessive electromagnetic waves during operation that could interfere with the normal functioning of nearby electronic devices (such as wireless communication equipment or medical instruments).

Our integrated activation and anti-pinch sensor series utilizes dual-technology sensing to handle both door activation and pedestrian anti-pinch safety functions. Designed to accommodate automatic doors of various heights with adjustable detection ranges, these sensors are backed by SGS certification, ensuring safer passage.
