Product Introduction
CANBO M-901 Outdoor Laser Safety Sensor For Gate System
Products Description
Our laser safety sensor is application about Time-Of-Flight principle technology in the automatic door safety field. CANBO M-901 Laser Safety Sensor, it is equipped with 890nm IR laser and Time-Of-Flight(ToF) principle, the transmitting chamber and receiving chamber integrated in one sensor, used for automatic door system through distance measurement of the required time to detect whether there is a human body or object in the detection range, matched with the automatic door opener, to ensure pedestrian and traffic safety.

Application & Charicteristics
It is particularly well-suited for use with gate and fence systems, car park barriers, and other high-risk areas where safety must be a top priority.
The device can be easily installed on the side of gates or fences, providing an additional layer of safety and security for personnel and property. In addition, the device has a flexible range of detection distances, which can be easily adjusted to suit specific needs. Like as detection distance adjustment, and rainproof adjustment. The former is detection distance setting through wave your hand at a certain distance what you need in standby state. The latter, it is special setting specilized for rainy day, open the rain proof mode to reduce interference.

- High-Precision Volumetric Detection: ToF sensors create a precise, three-dimensional detection zone. This allows the system to accurately identify the presence, position, and size of any person or object within the door's path, including small children, pets, or baggage.
- Enhanced Reliability and Reduced False Triggers: ToF technology measures distance directly, making it immune to environmental factors that can compromise other sensors, thereby significantly reducing the likelihood of false activations or failures.
- Intelligent Motion and Presence Analysis: Advanced ToF systems can analyze the direction of movement and differentiate between approaching traffic, departing traffic, and static individuals lingering near the doorway. This enables the door control system to make more intelligent decisions.
- Superior Safety and Anti-Pinch Functionality: During the closing cycle, a ToF sensor continuously scans the entire threshold area at high speed. If any object or person enters this monitored space, the sensor provides immediate feedback to the door operator, causing it to instantly stop or reverse. This proactive, comprehensive monitoring provides a robust and reliable anti-pinch safety mechanism.

FAQ
Q: What is TOF (Time-of-Flight) Technology?
A: Time-of-Flight (ToF) is a sophisticated distance-sensing principle used to measure the distance between a sensor and an object. The methodology is based on calculating the time it takes for an emitted wave to travel to a target and for its reflection to return to the sensor.
The process can be summarized in four key steps:
Emission: The ToF sensor emits a modulated light signal, typically in the infrared spectrum.
Reflection: The signal propagates, strikes an object within its field of view, and is reflected back toward the sensor.
Detection: The sensor's receiver captures the reflected light.
Computation: By measuring the round-trip time of the light signal, the system precisely calculates the distance to the object, leveraging the constant speed of light (Distance = (Speed of Light × Time) / 2).
This technology provides direct, real-time depth information for each point in the scene, effectively creating a 3D depth map.
