Automatic doors are a common configuration and are found in everything from modern modern shopping centers to office buildings. As core accessories, automatic door sensors support the smooth and safety opetation. However, improperly installed or poorly adjusted sensors can lead to slower response times, false triggers, or more seriously safety hazards.

How do you correctly install and adjust a sensor? The process is explained below in several parts.
Pre-installation preparations:
1. Disconnect the power supply to the automatic door operator.
2. Read the sensor's instruction manual: Familiarize yourself with the wiring diagram (to facilitate subsequent connections), voltage requirements, and installation tips; then, gather the necessary tools.
3. Identify your sensor type, function, and installation location. Sensors generally have two main categories-microwave and infrared-though newer models include video-based sensors. Their primary functions are triggering door activation and providing safety detection to prevent entrapment. Installation locations include the door header, the door panel itself, ceilling, or the side of the door frame; different sensors have specific requirements.
Additionally, if the supplier has provided an installation video, watch it in full before proceeding with the installation.

Installation and adjustment
1. Measure and confirm the appropriate installation location. It is important to note the maximum installation height of the sensor, whether there are any obstructions within the sensing range, and whether the sensor is prone to self-induction.
2. Secure the bracket, or drill the holes in the wall for sensor installation.
3. Open the outer cover and fix the sensor in place using screws.
4. According to the wiring diagram, wiring and power on.
5. Induction range adjustment:
The width and depth of the microwave/infrared sensing range can be adjusted using the provided adjustment tools. Rotate clockwise to move away from the door panel and counterclockwise to move closer to the door panel.
6. Dial switch adjustment:
